In February 2015, the European Commission launched a reflection on the harmonization of corporate insolvency law. The insolvency law situation for non-banking companies in Europe is characterized by wide divergences in approaches and varying degrees of efficiency. The report is based on a statistical analysis of the results of French collective proceedings (I) and recommends that the European Commission adopt common minimum rules on measures to prevent business difficulties (II) and collective proceedings (III).
